High-Stakes Advertising

Yes, this is real money. $500 of it.

This outdoor guerilla marketing display in Canada is meant to demonstrate the ability of 3m's security glass to resist breakage.

Security guards assigned to protect the glass case from outlandish attacks allowed people passing by to test its strength. The glass survived kicks, body slams, and even sledgehammers. Unfortunately, the same could not be said about the metal frame surrounding it. Once the frame was breached, security guards had to call a "time out" for cheating and the display was taken down after only a day.

At least 3m's new product got alot of media attention from its failed advertisement.
